DAY TRIP TO PORT TOWNSEND

Explore this Victorian town not far from the city.

Take the Seattle-Bremerton ferry early enough to get to Saboteur Bakery no later than 8am. They’re a delicious local bakery that sells out fast. Their pastries are utterly delicious and you seriously will not regret it.

Grab some pastries and hop back in the car heading north towards Poulsbo. Stop off on Front St. for some coffee and peruse all of the cute local shops in this Viking village. If you need a place to enjoy your pastries from Sabetour, head down to Liberty Bay Waterfront Park.

Onward! Keep heading north towards Port Townsend. Stop off at Finnriver Farm & Cidery just about 35 minutes from Poulsbo. Finnriver is loved by many on our team … delicious food, cider, and an amazing outdoor space to hangout. We recommend eating lunch here and trying one of their unique ciders.

Now that you’ve fueled up, it’s time to adventure at Fort Flagler State Park on Marrowstone Island! Fort Flagler was a significant coastal defense fort established more than a century ago to guard the entrance to Puget Sound.

Head up towards Port Townsend after exploring, then stop off at Port Townsend Pourhouse or Port Townsend Brewing for a drink and a snack. For dinner, we recommend perusing Water St. If you want to splurge a bit for dinner, check out one of our favorites - Restaurant Finistere.

You can go back to the city a couple ways, but we recommend getting on either the Kingston or Bainbridge ferries.

Have fun, and if you go out make sure to let us know!
