Mercedes Metris POP-top CAMPER VANS

The Mercedes Metris: A Small-Footprint Pop-TOp Camper Van.

As you hopefully know, in late 2023, Mercedes announced the end of US production for the Metris. While still being produced in Europe (and exported WW), the last US based Metris rolled off the production line in mid 2024. Peace Vans was lucky enough to obtain about 100 of the last Metris vans to build into campers and sell those. Sadly, for the small van loving public, those vans are sold out.

What to do you if you still want one of these unique and awesome vans? There’s a few things - all hope is not lost:

1) While Peace Vans supply of new vans is sold out, there are a few new vans (model year 2023) floating out there in various pockets of the US. If you are passionate about getting one of these vans, reach out to us and we can help track one of these vehicles down for you. We will be carrying enough inventory to build a few vans.

2) Obtain a used van on the open market and bring it to us to convert. While there’s not a lot of used vans out there, they do exist! Here’s a link to AutoTrader as an example. Generally speaking, we can work on any Metris - some are better than others and we can help you find the best.

3) Keep an eye on our “used vans” web page, or - better yet - fill out the form here and be on the list for proactive communications as we acquire used vans or sell off our rental fleet.

For Weekenders, we will be acquiring a few used vans during H1 of 2025 and using some Weekender inventory to build those out. To get on the list for those sign up for the used van list.

The end of the Metris is definitely bittersweet for us at Peace Vans. We were the first to pursue this market and we built it with a passion. We ended up being responsible for close to 1,000 of these little campers hitting the road and it has been one of the most rewarding projects in our professional careers. Full Camper
