ID. BuZZ Conversions - FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Our team is here to answer your questions.
We get a lot of questions about our camper van conversions, the buying process, and our company in general. Below, we’ve answered our most frequently asked questions regarding purchasing an ID. Buzz and the Camper Options to go with the vehicle.
-
While there are technically two parts of the purchase (the vehicle and the conversion), Peace Vans is your point of contact whom you complete the total purchase with. We have an inventory of vehicles pre-ordered and configured for this project. The vans belong to us, and we control them.
To start the process, 50% of the conversion cost is due. At that point, we will assign you one of the vehicles from our inventory and send you the MSRP/Build sheet for that specific van.
Typically, the van itself will need to be purchased between 30-60 days from your deposit on the conversion.
Because the vehicles are pre-ordered and configured, there is no negotiation or usual “car dealer” drama.
We will generate a detailed estimate for you on the conversion side early. That, together with the MSRP/Build Sheet for the van, makes up the total purchase price.

We love our corner of the US - Seattle, WA. And we hope you come and visit us before your purchase to meet the team, pick out your van, or even rent for a few nights. But if that’s not possible, plenty of customers purchase their vans without visiting. We can video chat to show you a finished van and work in progress. When it’s time to come pick up, we would love to do that in person. Many customers plan a road trip back home after pick up - we will happily help you figure out an itinerary, along with stops to charge along the way.
-
Absolutely not. We love the design we’ve created with WrapMates, but the coolest thing about the white and silver vans is the option to put any design you want on the ID. Buzz. Or if you want to leave it blank, that’s great too. We will put a small Peace Vans sticker on the vehicle - feel free to request that to be left off if you’d like to be completely branding free.
-
Either option if great. If you want a “one stop shop” you can purchase a candy white or metro silver van through Peace Vans. If you’d like a duo tone van, or to support your local VW dealership, by all means please do!
-
We will only have a limited supply of Metro Silver and Candy White vans. NEED TO ADD MORE.
-
Besides the poptop - which is coming in Q4 of this year - we’re finding the ID. Buzz to be very in size to the Metris. We agree - it’s the perfect size for a compact camper!
-
We’ll have our Kitchen Buzz + Sleeper at select dealership across the country. For our Full Camper, reach out to us, our customers typically love to show off their vans!
-
We think so! The benefit of a functioning AC, a quiet ride, modern safety, and maintenance-free conveniences far outweigh the increasing anxiety of owning an aging VW. Plus, did you hear? It’s electric!
-
They’ll wave to you even more! Get ready for people to frantically stick their heads out their window just to make sure you see they love your van. Expect smiles from the sidewalk. Peace signs from the passenger seat. Honks and hollers and even hugs!

Officially from Volkswagen the range is about 231 miles. We’ve made it from Portland to Seattle on one charge, and from Seattle to our campsite on the Olympic Coast.
