Behind the Wheels: Peace Vans Vintage Team

Get to know the faces of Peace Vans Vintage—our Volkswagen Vanagon Shop!

Last month, we introduced you to our outstanding Modern Team, who work to create the perfect modern camper van every step of the conversion journey on our Mercedes Metris platform. Now, we’re giving you a behind the wheels look at our Vintage Team, a talented and passionate crew dedicated to spreading joy one VW at a time. If you’re looking for a VW repair shop with superior resources, expertise, service orientation, and professional management—it really doesn’t get better than Peace Vans.

Meet Our Vintage Team

Our Vintage Team is where our Peace Vans story began. We got our start as a busy VW Vanagon repair shop—the Vanagon shop in Seattle where you could drop off your van and trust that it would be taken care of by people who know these quirky vehicles best. Our entire Vintage Team are proud Vanagon owners themselves (many team members even own a few!).

From helping you decide if a particular van is worth purchasing to diagnosing that strange sound to making sure you’re road trip ready with our comprehensive inspections—our Vintage Team is here to make sure your Vanagon wheels keep spinning for years to come.

Our commitment to developing strong relationships, employing highly skilled technicians, performing honest and reliable work, and sharing our passion for these vans remains unwavering since we first opened our doors 10 years ago. Sure, there are modern camper vans that’ll get you from point A to point B (heck, we make a lot of smiles happen with those vehicles), but there’s nothing quite like a road trip in a vintage VW camper van. Windows rolled down, stereo turned up, engine humming, and time moving at a slower pace—we simply love our Vanagons!

And, since those humble beginnings down an alley in Seattle, we’ve grown to become the Vanagon shop in the US. On any given day we have 60-80 vans on our lots waiting for all sorts of work. From routine maintenance for our regulars to engine conversions and quite a few year long full restoration jobs, we are the shop doing it all to keep these amazing vans on the road for the next generation.
