Pacific Northwest Road trip itineraries
The Pacific Northwest
Washington State is the Pacific Northwest's anchor— the best corner of the lower 48. Home to rivers, forests, glaciers, mountains, beaches, and almost any natural beauty (even volcanoes!), this great state offers much to the adventurous traveler.
Basic Tips
Make a few reservations as soon as you possibly can. Having most (or even all) of your sites pre-planned is not unusual.
Don't shy away from staying in one place for two nights—relaxing for a day is nice.
Several campgrounds are relatively close to our office if you arrive late and don't want to set up in the dark on your first night. Fay Bainbridge and Riverbend Campground near Olympia are both excellent, convenient options.
Peace Vans Camps are our private campgrounds. We keep these a bit hush-hush, but when you rent, ask us about them, and we are happy to share.
